WIP Wednesday – Another Sunset Wrap – 8/18/21
Being out of work does have its advantages. I did this wrap in two days – a feat I never thought possible before. It was just that the ol’ 9 to 5 grind was getting in the way. Bad work, BAD work!
I had wanted my next pattern to utilize all the greens I’ve purchased from my local bead store this year, but ever since I did my first sunset and saw how well it turned out, I’ve been obsessed with doing another one. The colors are AMAZEBALLS, as is the silhouette against it.
This wrap started with 23 colors and after two nights of off-and-on, intense color studying and editing, went down to 19. There are just too many subtleties to its beauty to pare down to less than that and still remain so lovely. If you order this wrap, however, you’ll see that the advantage to this particular color palette is that it uses 7 of the same colors as my Dragonfly Sunset wrap, so it won’t cost you that much more if you purchase both patterns. Also, I plan to do more sunset motifs in the future, so you’ll be that much more ready for them if you become as addicted to sunset-scapes as I am.
As in the last WIP post, I’m not telling you what this pattern is – you’ll have to guess. If you’re the first to leave a comment with your answer and it’s correct, you’ll win a FREE peyote stitch pattern of your choice in our Etsy store, KC Dragonfly. Remember to leave your email address or you won’t get your gift code.
Happy Beading!
