Resources for students

If you have taken one of our courses on decorating parasols, you might want to go all the way and MAKE the parasol cover from SCRATCH. I applaud your effort. My first few tries a few years ago were a trainwreck, but having attended a class of someone who has figured out an easier way to do it, my interest in the art has been renewed. Here are some ideas for where you can get the materials:

Recovering a Parasol by The Iron Tailor – this is the class that renewed my interest in doing this again. Mog gave the class at Gaslight Gathering in San Diego and it was AWESOME!

Pacific Fabrics – & Crafts – I have to thank one of my lovely students for providing this link for the bare, naked frames for adult size and doll sizes.

Spoonflower Fabrics – watch out. You’ll want to buy ALL THE FABRICS here! The creativity in these submitted designs knows no bounds and will fire off your imagination until your head explodes with ideas.
